Wayne Williams joins The Bend

The Bend Motorsport Park is pleased to announce Wayne Williams as the venue's new Operations Manager.

Williams joins The Bend after a period of 3+ years at Winton Motor Raceway where he was instrumental in the growth of their Supercars event, played a key role in the formation and success of the Australian Motor Racing Series, and also oversaw the resurfacing of the Winton track in 2016. Williams is also well-known as a successful team owner in the Australian V8 Ute Racing Series; at its peak, his Williams Race Tech operation campaigned a total of nine entries during a single season.

Motorsport Park Managing Director Sam Shahin welcomed Williams’ appointment. “Wayne has a range of excellent experience in motorsport, from running his own race team, to competing in speedway events, and managing the operations of a venue like Winton makes him a great addition to our team.”

Outgoing Operations Manager, John Clark, will assist in the handover process while exploring future opportunities at The Bend.
