Fans are in for a treat at the OTR SuperSprint with The Bend working with Supercars to relocate the podium so that it will directly precede the Rocking the Murray Concert at the events newly named Town Square.
The Saturday afternoon podium for Race 20 will take place nearby the stage for the Rocking the Murray concert with The Choirboys & Kingswood launching into their live show straight after the podium proceedings.
The move is expected to add to the accessibility of the OTR SuperSprint with spectators enjoying FREE pit paddock access, level 2 balcony access, kids amusement rides and Turn 1, 17 & 18 grandstand access. The podium will be located in the Town Square activation area near the Porsche Carrera Cup garages.
The podium move is inspired by The Bend’s round of the Australian Superbike Championship which hosts the post-race celebrations in the spectator areas with huge success. The Bend’s round of the ASBK championship was last year awarded as the series best round of 2022.
Another first for the event is the Murray Bridge Street Party put on by The Bend and the Murray Bridge Council with the free event to take place from 4:30-6:30 PM on August 17th with the closure of East Terrace adjacent the Bridgeport Hotel.
The Street Party will feature Supercars driver appearances & and an autograph session as well as support category car displays. The local car clubs will also unite to fill the street with some beautiful classic vehicles for onlookers to enjoy.
