The Bend confirms itself as one of the worlds fastest tracks.

Wayne Newby of Rapisarda Autosport International has set a time of 3.761 seconds over 1000ft. this time 0.12 of a second off the world record Top Fuel time. The run confirms the Dragway at The Bend as one of the fastest drag racing surfaces in the world.

The Run was recorded following the official unveiling of the venue by Premier Peter Malinauskas and Shell V-Power Motorsport Park MD Sam Shahin.

After a Saturday sell-out the total weekend attendance of 35,694 has marked an incredibly successful Grand Opening for Australia’s news Drag Racing track.

The National Drag Racing Championship will return to The Bend on January 13-14, 2024 headlined by Nitro Funny Cars. Tickets are available via thebend.com.au
