Kicking off next weekend – giddy up!

South Australia's biggest country music festival, The Bend Classic, is quite literally just around the corner. For three incredible days the ultimate Australian celebration of cars, country, and camping shifts into overdrive from October 24-26 at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park at The Bend, a little over an hour out of Adelaide.

In these strangest of times The Bend Classic is just that – a classic, good value (under-15’s admitted free), family-friendly event with so much to do and see on the Event Schedule the kids will be well busy doing and seeing it all. Topping it off is a line-up of premiere Australian country music talent featuring Kasey Chambers, Casey Barnes, Kaylee Bell, The Wolfe Brothers, Travis Collins, Kingswood, Max Jackson and more.

With great value for money for families all weekend, The Bend Classic is more than just a festival, it's an experience like no other. There’s something for everyone including Line Dancing, Wood Chopping, Whip Cracking, Camping Under the Stars, Classic Car Racing, Nostalgia Drags, Hillclimb and kids entertainment. All this is soundtracked by a full suite of country-vibed entertainment featuring Adelaide’s favourite bar – Shotgun Willie’s - who will be cranking out the coolest country tunes each night at The Bend Classic until late.

This year the thrills and spills of Lawn Mower Racing will debut, and the South Australian Demolition Derby Promotions will bring the smash-and-crash excitement of the first ever demolition derby at The Bend Motorsport Park. With fearless drivers and their cars going head-to-head, the 4-Cylinder Demolition Derby promises edge-of-your-seat excitement, where the last car running takes the glory. It’s fun for the whole family, with cars often decorated for the kids’ enjoyment. We hear that none other than Lightning McQueen may be making a special appearance!

Of course, all this is backed up by an iconic live lineup of Aussie Country Music. The Bend Classic rolls into town with the return of its Homecoming Queen, Kasey Chambers, fresh off her #1 album, Backbone, and a sold-out national Tour. Kasey can’t wait to come back around The Bend and we can’t wait to welcome her.

Kasey is joined by the cream of Australian country music talent. Friday night sees Travis Collins and Kaylee Bell rip it up while on Saturday Kingswood, The Wolfe Brothers – whose new album, Australian Made is out now - and Casey Barnes, whose new single, Rough Around The Edges, is at #3 this week on the national CountryTown Top 50, keep the good times truckin’ along. Kingswood - who have just signed a new record deal with ABC Music and have a new single, Lovin’ A Girl, out now - will return to the main stage for a big Sunday send-off.

The Bend Classic is also teaming up with the South Australian Music Development Office to host a hotlist of emerging local country artists, providing them with a launchpad to wider audiences. These featured artists include The Flying Squad, Nancy Bates, Scott Rathman Jnr and Brad Chicken & The Bootstraps, all of whom have new releases out now.
