The Bend Motorsport Park has locked in a massive variety of on and off-track entertainment that is set to make the 2021 OTR SuperSprint the best event held at The Bend yet. Supporting a packed on-track program that includes the Repco Supercars Championship, GT World Challenge, Carrera Cup, V8 SuperUtes and Historic Touring Cars, the entertainment program will include even more action on track – some of it under lights – plus live music, fireworks and much more. The Bend is pleased to announce a new shuttle bus will run from the city to The Bend each day, giving city-based Supercars fans an affordable way of leaving their own car at home and attending the event. Tickets are just $10 return, with departure points at the Adelaide Railway station, Mawson Lakes, Marion and Mount Barker bus interchanges and from central Murray Bridge. Event goers will also get priority exit when leaving the venue. The entertainment program starts with the now annual Tailem Bend Street Party on Thursday night, with Supercars drivers, display vehicles and more to be on hand to meet fans in the heart of the town. Food stalls, entertainment and displays will feature to give the local community a chance to further embrace one of the biggest events held in the region each year. On Friday night, The Bend will come alive with a Fresh 92.7 Pit Lane Party and Roll Racing – held on the main straight. Battled out between a pair of cars racing up the kilometre-long front straight, Roll Racing is like drag racing however starts the competition from a rolling start rather than from a standstill. Roll Racing is a regular feature at The Bend and, along with the Pit Party, will be held under lights on The Bend’s front straight with access included to all OTR SuperSprint ticketholders. The action continues Saturday night with a massive fireworks display set to music above The Bend Motorsport Park, before the Angels & Oils – an Aussie rock tribute band – performs on stage. The band, hailing from Adelaide, is Australia’s ultimate tribute to two of the most famous rock acts in Aussie music history – The Angels and Midnight Oil – and play the best tracks from both groups back catalogues. On track, the popular Hot Wheels Stunt Team, headed up by the legendary Matt Mingay, will show fans their remarkable moves in between on-track racing sessions across the event, while Airtime FMX will bring the two-wheeled daredevils to The Bend. Their high-flying antics will be on full view of the pit straight and General Admission viewing areas on the circuit’s infield, in use for the first time at this event. Completing the broad array of on-track fun, a series of high-powered Drag Racing demonstrations will take place around The Bend’s 4.9km layout across the weekend. Responding to fan feedback from previous events, there will be more SuperScreens than ever before, more toilet facilities and free internal shuttle busses will be on hand to take fans to all parts of The Bend Motorsport Park precinct, including several new General Admission viewing areas yet to be announced A new addition to the event, the Murray River Regional Market Showcase, will feature an array of market stalls from regional providers giving people an opportunity to secure local produce and wares from the region, while the Kids Zone carnival rides and sideshow alley will be on hand to give the fans – both young and old – entertainment between on-track sessions. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketek and will represent some of the best value motorsport tickets in Australia this year. Three-day Adult GA tickets are just $100.00, while single day access starts as low as $20.00 on Friday. Campsites are selling quickly, as are park ‘n view spots on the hills surrounding the circuit.
