Christmas Toy Run saved: Shell V-Power Motorsport Park steps in to host community ride for Vinnies on Sunday 14 December

The long-running Adelaide Toy Run has been given a lifeline after its cancellation for 2025. Shell V-Power Motorsport Park at The Bend will host a special community Toy Run on Sunday, 14 December 2025, ensuring vital Christmas support for families in need continues.

The move follows the Motorcycling Riders Association of South Australia (MRASA) announcing the end of the traditional CBD event due to venue and vendor challenges. Determined to keep the tradition alive, The Bend partnered with Vinnies SA to deliver a festive, family-friendly alternative.

How it works:

Riders register online and pay a $20 entry fee, with 100% of proceeds donated to Vinnies SA.
Assembly begins at 3:00pm in the Motor Racing Circuit paddock.
At 5:00pm, Father Christmas will lead riders on a track cruise before festivities kick off at Podium Park, featuring food trucks, trade stalls, charity displays, and family entertainment.

Alistair MacDonald, CEO of Shell V-Power Motorsport Park, said the venue acted quickly to preserve the event’s spirit:

“This tradition means a lot to South Australians and the charities it supports. We have the space, the safety infrastructure and the passion to keep donations flowing to Vinnies so kids wake up to Christmas with joy and dignity.”
