‘AirTouch announced as new naming rights partner of the new 500 at The Bend’

 

AirTouch was today announced as the new naming rights partner of the AirTouch 500 at The Bend. AirTouch is Australia’s leading smart air conditioning control and smart home platform, proudly developed at the Polyaire Head Office in Adelaide. 

 

The partnership with The Bend brings together two world-class brands, born in South Australia and driven by a shared global outlook. The new naming rights partner welcomes in a new era of supercars racing at The Bend with the dream of hosting an Enduro round now a reality. As the only Enduro round outside Bathurst it is expected that The Bend will host over 50,000 people and 3,000 campers across the weekend.

 

The Hon. Zoe Bettison, Minister for Tourism, is thrilled that that a global company based in Adelaide is supporting regional tourism through today’s announcement.

The AirTouch 500 at The Bend will include 3 days of Supercars action from the 12-14 September culminating with a 500km race on Sunday.  The circa $200m world class sports and entertainment venue located near Tailem Bend will not only host Supercars but earlier it was announced that a round of the FIA TCR World Tour will also be held over the weekend, welcoming 7 global manufacturers to the event and South Australia.

 


South Australian driver Nick Percat will be racing for Matt Stone Racing and says while it is always exciting to race at the home track, the extra elements that are involved in an enduro race will make it even more interesting.

“I’m looking forward to going there because it is something different and it's obviously a world-class venue, so I’m hoping having it as an endurance venue, it puts on a good show for Supercars,” he says. Pit stops will be even more crucial than in the past, as drivers and co-drivers swap while the race goes on.
