Hi, my name is Alex Webster and this is The Bend, Australia’s newest racing circuit, and arguably one of the best. Having had the privilege of being one of the first to rave at the circuit, and with many people heading there in the coming months, I thought I would talk you through the track. It is deceptive how much elevation change there is, it does not translate to video! The surface is excellent, however it does have sand that does encroach on the circuit when windy. This will be solved over time as the construction is completed adjoining the track. The circuit is very technical and it does offer something for all cars. We found it was a great leveler for cars whereby one car did not dominate and small capacity cars were competitive due to the constant radius corners.
