Development Update at The Bend

The Bend Motorsport Park, recently awarded the best international motorsport facility (Professional MotorSport World Expo Awards), is continuing to develop the already impressive venue and today officially opened a new addition. The Bend BIG4 Holiday Park, now joins a list of only 3 other parks in South Australia with a heated swimming pool.

The 105 sqm pool provides the perfect opportunity for visitors to cool off after a workout on the race track, or karting circuit and is a welcome addition to the thousands who will stay at the park during major events.

Located near the camp kitchen, jumping pillow and playground, the pool is sure to bring families and friends together during their stay. With varying depths from 0.3m to 1.5m, the pool has something to offer guests of all ages and swimming abilities.

The holiday park has become a hot new property in the BIG4 network, with holiday makers and caravaners enjoying the rare opportunity to tour The Bend motor racing circuit with sunrise and sunset walks a new addition to the experiences list in 2020. “We’ve had so much great feedback about the pool, and we’re already getting a lot of new bookings for the new year” said venue manager Tash Loveday.

Work has also begun inside the pit building on the all new FUEL Restaurant & Bar, set to re-open in January 2020 in time for the 4 Hours of The Bend event (Asian Le Mans Series). The refurbished space will become a permanent fixture for in house guests and visitors to enjoy quality restaurant dining featuring seasonal specials and a wide range of premium beverages.

Apex Bar on the ground floor of the Welcome Centre will be re-branded Apex Lounge offering café style dining including specialty coffees, bar snacks and desserts. During the renovations dining has shifted to ground floor of the Welcome Centre.

More details will be released on the development of our Trackside Villas and Dragway in early 2020.
