What is an Open Track Day?
The Bend Open Track Days are non-competitive, non-timed events which enable participants to drive their own vehicles on The Bend's motor racing circuit.
They are the perfect environment to explore the performance of your vehicle and grow your own experience in a safe and controlled environment.
It's not a race and the events are designed primarily around fun and for vehicle testing. Driver etiquette is monitored very closely and dangerous drivers will be removed from the circuit.
Drifting and burnouts are not permitted.

Are road cars able to participate?
Yes, road cars are invited to participate.
Your vehicle will need to meet CAMS Schedules A & B, which for road cars means an approved fire extinguisher. All the details can be found here: https://www.thebend.com.au/sites/default/files/uploaded-content/field_f_content_file/cams_schedule_a_b.pdf
CAMS have the following requirements for securing a hand-held fire extinguisher;
HAND-HELD FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: (a) Each hand-held fire extinguisher shall be secured using a metal bracket attached to the automobile with only high tensile bolts or equivalent fasteners and/or sufficient clamp/s and must remain restrained under a deceleration or acceleration of 25G ; and (b) must be capable of removal by the driver (or crew, where applicable) while seated in their normal respective position for competition with safety harness unfastened, unless varied by specific category regulations and without the aid of tools.
This is taken from Schedule H of the CAMS Motorsport Manual.
Most people secure them onto the front passenger seat bolts (essentially under the knees of the passenger). You can purchase the extinguishers themselves, along with a metal bracket from Supercheap Auto or other similar stores, you just need something to span between the two seat bolts to mount it to.
Fire extinguishers are available to hire for $20.

Yes, but please notify us with your registration so we can group you appropriately.
Do I need a licence?

Can I bring passengers?
Passengers are not permitted.
Can I bring spectators?

Am I insured?
