The Bend Motorsport Park features dedicated driver training facilities suitable for all experience levels – from young driver programs to advanced performance driving techniques.

VEHICLE AND MOTORCYCLE MANOEUVRING AREA (VMMA)

Adjacent to the main paddock area and near the main pit building, the VMMA is an 8,000sqm level bitumen surface. It’s the ideal location for drivers and riders to improve their low speed manoeuvring ability.

SKID PANS

The Bend Motorsport Park has two Skid Pans. The first is a 6,000sqm concrete pad located near the main pit building. It features polished sections and irrigation to create a low friction surface. It’s designed for users to practise skid and slide control.

The second Skid Pan is located near the Dragway. It’s a 5,000sqm bitumen surface with multiple lead in roads designed for configuration flexibility. It’s ideal for higher grip training or for use as a burnout pad.

VMAX TEST STRIP

The Bend Motorsport Park features a 2km airstrip that doubles as a high-speed testing road. Designed for high speed lane changing manoeuvres and braking exercises.

In addition to these dedicated training areas, The Bend Motorsport Park’s other precincts can be used effectively for driver training.

STADIUM CIRCUIT

The Stadium Circuit is a highly configurable test track and features a prominent figure 8 track.

RALLY & OFFROAD

The offroad precinct provides multiple dirt and gravel test loops with graded, washboard and rutted sections.

4WD ADVENTURE PARK

With various obstacles including inclines and descents, rock and log obstacles and water and mud trails, the 4WD Adventure Park is perfect for practising for extreme outdoor scenarios.

MOTOR RACING CIRCUIT

The motor racing circuit itself can of course be used for driver training. The West Circuit is ideal for such training and can be split into North and South Loops. One is a tight 1.3km and the other a 1.8km fast, flowing loop.

Driver training is supported by The Bend’s multiple function and conference rooms in the main pit building as well as a dedicated driver’s briefing room. Many of the above precincts are also serviced by their own facilities.
